Trivia notes :
[1] The name "Superfriends" was initially suggested by Bai, Ijal, Chibor and Man Kanan. because that's what they all are (and still, till today) - friends.
[2] Najuib, Siti, Bai and Chibor met when they enrolled as students in the Arts & Design Faculty of ITM Shah Alam. While Najuib studied Fine Arts, Siti, Bai and Chibor are batchmates majoring Music.
[3] Man Kanan got his name extension when he played with another live band, which line-up also included Man Kidal. He's also known as Man Rongak.
[4] Meg and Adik loved wearing color-coordinated outfits and they even have cutesy choreographed dance routine, mirroring the trend among live bands at that time, the time when club scene is dominated by Philippino bands.
[5] Nani and Atun are sisters - Nani's rendition of Ella songs always got the JB crowd going, while one of Atun's biggest fan was Apek Senario.
[6] During his stint, once in a while Lee leaves his seat to Najuib to sing She's Gone, which made him the only drummer in the club scene to gain fame via a single song. Gives a new meaning to the phrase "one hit wonder" doesn't it?
[7] Natalie's doll-like looks attracted so many fans - one of them who tried very hard to impress her ended up buying Xmas gifts on her behalf for her family, friends, band members who don't even celebrate the fest -- and even her landlord. (I got the LOTR series, thanks!)
[8] While Sham Headhunter is called so because he made his name as the drummer of one of the more popular East Malaysian band called Headhunters, Man Linkin Park was never a member of the famous Linkin' Park, not even the fan club. He just look a lot like one of the members, so there.
[9] Between Batch 4 and Batch 5 Superfriends employed a singer, Lisda who failed to complete the duration of the pertaining contract at that time, therefore not listed as part of the Superfriends alumni. She was last seen getting married to an actor who is also a belacan (shrimp pate) entrepreneur.
[10] Batch 10 participated in Rentak Juara: Rythm of the Champion (Season 1) and ASTRO Blast Off! (Season 1).
[11] Every now and then, you can still catch Nadya and Apiz jamming with the band. Though these singers have gone on to greener pastures, they are still rockin' club acts deep down inside. Rock on folks!
[12] Nadzir is a great cook! Both his parents are great at making mouth-watering dishes as well, that we sometimes wonder how the heck did he pick up bass playing for a living?
[13] Once Band Superfriends had a drummer by the name of Faizal. He now makes stickers for bikes. There's always a way to be creative even when you move from sticks to stickers.
[14] Najuib is trying his luck as an amateur bike racer soon. Before he started Band Superfriends with the rest of his ITM mates, he was once a cyclist who represented Malaysia in SEA Games.
[15] When band Superfriends' award-winning guitarist Zham is not making music, he is a serious, government-liasing businessman.
